Longford Farms - Harvest Start

Harvest got underway today in winter barley, with our new John Deere X9 combine supplied by Hunt Forest Group.
Having seen the X9 being launched by John Deere at Agritechnica in 2019 it seems fitting to have one on the farm.
There are only a few of these combines working in the UK such is their size and output, we have been excited to see it arrive and now to put it to the test!
We started in a crop of Maris Otter destined for the brewing market and grown for local trader Robin Appel.
